Subscription period

Six months from the date of payment.

Note: Payment for a specification is not required until it is ready to be downloaded.

NON-EDITABLE Word document with every page watermarked with the project’s address. All editing has to be done online.

Guidance text is not included.

 

Editable Word documents (pages not watermarked).

The automatically generated Table of Contents can be updated to include page numbers.

Number of downloads

 

An unlimited number of specification editions for a single address.

 

An unlimited number of specification editions for an unlimited number of projects.

Limitations

 

Each specification is tied to a single address so address details may only be entered once and not amended once saved.

 

The Project name cannot be altered once entered but all other details can be amended.

Content Updates

 

Twice yearly Update to include changes due to amendments to the National Construction Code, and Standards. Preview content is automatically updated to reflect the current Update.

Access rights

 

During subscription period: Unlimited online creation, editing and downloading of specifications for each address.

Online storage of projects during subscription period

Online storage of projects after expiry of subscription

None

Subscribers will be notified by email shortly before their subscription is due to expire.

After 2 years subscribers will be notified by email shortly before their subscription is due to expire.

Access to stored projects will be reinstated on renewal of a subscription within 2 years of it expiring.

If a subscription is not renewed within 2 years of it expiring, specifications are archived for a further 2 years and a fee charged for any retrievals requested.

Ex-subscribers will be notified by email before the second anniversary of their subscription expiring to remind them of the above.

If a subscription is not renewed within 4 years of it expiring, no assurance can be given that specifications will be able to be retrieved after that period.

The same as BUILDING Domestic, namely:

  • Microsoft Word (.docx) file of all worksections including Guidance text.
  • Microsoft Word (.docx) file of all Branded worksections.
  • Fully searchable pdf version of the specification with Update amendments highlighted.
  • Instructional guides.
  • Technical resources including TECHnotes.
  • All of the above are also provided on a USB.

Upgrade offer

If, within a week of paying for a Single Project Subscription, you submit a completed order and payment authorisation form to NATSPEC for a subscription to BUILDING Domestic or BUILDING Professional, the cost of your Single Project Subscription will be deducted from your new subscription.

If you take up this option, the subscription period will commence from the date your Single Project Subscription commenced.

 

Changes after upgrading from a Single Project Subscription to an Annual Subscription

After upgrading your subscription, specifications created under the Single Project Subscription will behave the same way as those created under an Annual Subscription. That is, you will be able to create editable Word documents. Note though, for a document created under a Single Project Subscription to become editable, it will need to be downloaded from Domestic Online again.
